Lotro Hunter Oils GuideAt level 20 hunters can train the passive skill that allows them to use fire oils on their bows. At level 30 hunters can train up the passive skill to use light oil. Oils can be bought at a hunter trainer or better oils with a longer duration can be crafted by a scholar (and bought at the auction house). The hunter trainer sells simple oils for 6 silver each. An oil wash can be bought at the hunter trainer for 60 silver that will remove any oil effects.

LOTRO Enemy Damage Resistances & MitigationsOils are useful to a hunter in Lotro because they change your damage type to light or fire. Some creatures are more vulnerable to certain types of damage.
